Trailer songs are never in the final movie.

Difference this time, though, is that all the trailers for BvS were horrible. This trailer/footage/whatever was surprisingly good.

That's on the shoulders of the trailer editors. They chose a good song and cut the scenes in a compelling way. It really has no bearing on what we'll be seeing in theaters. On the other hand, we Zach Snyder's entire catalog of disappointing movies post-300 to lead us to believe this movie won't be much different.

Just pointing out the fact that, from this footage, it appears as though they've heard the criticisms of their two past failures and have decided to go in a different direction. Could still be terrible, considering Snyder has never made a good film (that includes 300, by the way), but as of now I am more optimistic than I expected to be.

People acting like BvS was the worst CBM ever lol..

It has its problems, yes, but come on guys..

Iron Man 2/3, both Thor films, Fant 4 Stic, and X Men Apocalypse are all far worse films.

Haven't seen F4 or X-Men but as for the others, that's just not true, BvS didn't even have a coherent plot and he motivations of the characters were nonexistent.

The Ultimate Cut really clears a lot of it up in my opinion.

Also Thor films are garbage (I have hope for Ragnarok though considering the talent involved) and don't even get me started on IM 2&3. Both are trash with plot holes galore. I actually prefer 2 to 3 if I had to choose since you can tell Black and Co. thought they had one clever ass script but no. That film was a gigantic let down after some pretty amazing trailers and I'm not speaking solely on the idiotic Mandarin twist but yes that's one of the main reasons.

The actor playing The Flash looks like Nathan Felder (of Nathan For You) and that's all I can think about when I see this trailer now.

I wasn't commenting on the quality of those films; I'm not saying they're great movies. I just think it's absurd to say they are more poorly made than BvS.

    Well you know... opinions man.

Like I said, I get a lot of the criticisms of the film, but the amount of hate the film gets is ridiculous. The films I mentioned are, in my opinion, far worse yet don't get a fraction of the shit this film gets.

Thank you for speaking the truth sir! Most of these comments are off the rails ridiculous. Did someone really say the trailers for BvS were horrible? That Comic Con Trailer from last year may be the best cut trailer ever. The problem is the movie wasn't as good as the trailer, not the other way around.

Exactly. The trailers (minus the second one) were all amazing. The film has its issues for sure but I feel bad for Snyder because the film he intended on releasing (Ultimate Cut) is MUCH better and fixes about 70% of the problems in my opinion. Everything from the tone to character motivations/arcs are better. It's not a bad film and it nailed Batman in my opinion. Yes, he kills, that's his whole arc. He's falling so hard that he hasn't realized he's become the enemy. He's seen Robin and friends and family murdered so he doesn't have patience or remorse to criminals. People lose their minds over this except they forget that he kills in the comics too. In fact, every Bat film shows him killing people but it's off screen. Even though this video is partially a joke, it's still proves my point:

    Anyways, rant over?

Hahaha yeah that batman kills argument has always been a question to me. We have an old Batman who think's he's seen it all (Crock, Joker, ect) and then the battle in Metropolis happens and drives him waaayy over the edge. I love the story arc of Superman's values and sacrifice bringing Batman back to hero status, I just wish more scenes were given to explain it. You nailed it, there are script issues but there are so many amazing scenes in it. This film gave us sooooo much goodness, which is kind of its issue but the good way outweighs the bad. We have a movie with a comic book Batman doing Arkham style fight scenes, Para-demons, Wonder Woman and Sups fighting Doomsday, possible Injustice story arch, history where Death in the Family happened and we know the Joker, Crock, Harley, Deadshot are established and people are still complaining about minor hang ups? Like I said, more good than bad and I'm so glad we got all this thanks to Snyder. He set up such an awesome Universe, even if his film wasn't the best.

Edit: Sorry for the scatter brain ramble.

Anybody else hear the rumor that Affleck's solo film is set in Arkham?

How great would this concept be if executed properly?!

No I totally get what you're trying to say. I think if they made the script a little less stuffed with subplots and focused more on characters- it could have been the perfect balance. The UC shows what Snyder had planned and the stuff that was cut truly hurt the film 100%. It's head scratching to be honest. Like *SPOILER* after the hearing blow up we see Supes trying to help with carrying bodies out. Stuff like that needs to be seen. Not just him flying away. Same goes for the scene that explains why he couldn't see the bomb in the first place. My only worry is JL being too watered down and jokey but this trailer is so far amazing. I love the whole Flash scene. I laughed hard at the whole "I ... need friends". Ezra is going to be amazing.

Yup!! I believe it since Affleck said he wanted to make the best Bat film of all time. I really think with him in the Director's chair writing this with Geoff Johns? Chills man. Chills.

Affleck writing and directing makes me so excited for his film. I love an Arkham set film more than the earlier rumored Red Hood stuff. Since all other Batman appearances thus far have been and will be ensemble, I think it would be cool to have Batman in such an isolated area.

The Arkham setting would be especially interesting because presumably Affleck would be in the Batman suit for pretty much the entire film. Bit of a difference from the 20 minutes of screentime Batman had in each of the Nolan movies, haha.

That would be awesome! Even in BvS we should have gotten more than one Batman fight scene (I wish it would have showed him breaking into Lex's). An Arkham type story where him and Gordon have to fight their way out (coming across Lex, Deadshot and other characters). This is why I hate rumors though, now if this doesn't happen I'll be sad
