I thought this was the one place on the internet I could go to to talk about blink that wasn't infested with Tom fanboys, but I guess not anymore.

Back on topic, Matt did a solid job here. I enjoyed it.

It was funny to go look at this guys post and see just a never-ending whine about his favorite guy quitting his band.

 

Like...Tom quit. Why don't the Tom fans get that. Why is that Mark and Travis' fault? Why aren't they entitled to the band that they had just as much of a part in?

 

I like Matt, Alkaline Trio is one of my favorite bands. But Matt is barely even performing here, it's mostly backing tracks even when they fix the Tom thing.

 

Maybe iheartmedia let the original sound guy go when they laid off the other 1,000 plus employees that week

Whats wrong with you? It's about the music...if you would put Robert Smith or I don't know instead of Matt Skiba in the band it would makes no difference...it just sounds not like blink-182 anymore! That's all...If you would replace Bono from U2 it would not sound like U2 anymore. Is it so hard to understand? Idiot!

 

The great thing about music is it doesn’t suddenly fade away. Don’t like what they’re putting out now? Cool, keep rocking what they had done. But to dedicate ~80% of your posts to “WAAAAAH IT’S NOT BLINK ANYMORE” is wild to me. Bands change. It’s probably for the best since they’re all mid 40s and probably should ditch singing about high school lol. It was bound to happen regardless.

 

makes no sense. It's just a fact that it not sounds like blink-182 with another singer. If you like the things they're putting out now cool its your taste in music but its not blink man. bands and music change yes of course it happened with Neighborhoods but if you replace the singer its not just a change its the end of the band. Anyway. I just think its stupid to say this a fanboy thing or something like that...Btw I love Alkaline Trio

Bands replace singers all the time. Get over it, loser. He left the band 15 years ago.
