I got to the episode where they were literally making fun of a trans woman and gave up

 

The new episode where the “real Dennis” came out was incredible. I love the way they have slowly deconstructed every single aspect of his awful facade.

 

Haha, i've only watched like 20 episodes or so and it's been a while. When the episodes are good though they are real fuckin good.

 

I watched an episode with Cait actually recently and they used the 'r' word like 9 times, I think it was an older one, and she was like yeahhhh ehhh nah

 

I think it's a well done show for sure but I totally get people who are bothered by it and can't watch it.

 

It's amazing how offended people get when you say you don't find that show funny lol

Haha yeah, that could go with a lot of sitcoms though I feel like. It's a human condition to hold your favorite comedy close to your heart. It's Always Sunny is a real big one though.

Yeah for sure. Like you mentioned with the slurs, it’s an interesting case where it’s pretty much impossible to recommend the first few seasons to a new watcher now because of how upsetting a lot of it is, but it’s also one of the only shows with that kind of history that has actively grown and changed over the years and tried to reckon with its past. Polar opposite to a lot of the comedies that dig their heels in and try to be more offensive and cruel just to spite the people who want them to do better.
