Did it come from livenation, ticketmaster, or blink?

 

oh my god this band really took "Always" off the setlist but is still playing "First Date" and not switching songs when playing the same city twice. i cannot believe how furious i am at that haha

 

blink fans: They better play songs off the new album! We'll be pissed if they don't!

Not directed at anyone in particular. But it must be a little frustrating for the guys. They can never win when it comes to setlists.

 

I think most people need to realize that most of Mark's vocals on the album are completely pitch corrected, and they know they wouldn't be able to pull them off live. They only do Bored to Death because its the single, but we all hear how choppy he is live with that. KOTW and Los Angeles must be two of the easier songs for him to do.

 

I was thinking about this the other day, blink has so many memorable opening tracks from Feeling This to Pathetic to Dumpweed to Carousel to Anthem Part 2, etc yet they really lack a really good closing track for their albums.

So because everyone loves rankings here's my closing track order:

1. Even If She Falls
2. Please Take Me Home
3. Anthem
4. Another Girl, Another Planet
5. I'm Sorry
6. I'm Lost Without You
7. Pretty Little Girl
8. Don't
9. Brohemian Rhapsody
10. Depends
11. Last Words From Satan

I figured it would be cheating to include Man Overboard since it doesn't 'close out' the album even if it's the last song but not the last track (Last Words From Satan is) but it would obviously be #1. I also included Another Girl, Another Planet from their Greatest Hits album.

 

I think California and Home would really be the only songs that would be harder than Bored for him to sing. I don't think that has any bearing. It would be nice to see a 2 hour set but I'm honestly just happy to have blink at all. The setlist really doesn't bother me besides the fact that I'd be fine with seeing the whole new album front to back lol. All the old hits I'm looking forward to hearing Matt do them justice in person.

I do wonder if Mark doesn't want to play longer than they do to protect his voice a bit. It has very noticeably weakened over the years.

Anthem would easily be my number 1.

 

I was trying to keep it strictly to official U.S. releases without bonus tracks, otherwise you open up a can of worms for certain albums and reissues of them.

But Hey, I'm Sorry would probably rank 2 or 3 for me.

 

I actually think outside of the first two albums blink has fantastic closers

 

No question. I love listening to the end of Enema straight into the start of TOYPAJ

 

Nothing really memorable though, especially when you compare it to their opening tracks. The opening track sets the tone of the album and the closing track should be the one that leaves the lasting impression and make you want to go back and re-listen to the album again.

 

yeah i love most of their openers but none of the closers really stuck. California (fuck Brohemian) is their best one in a long time.

Hopefully! I think Ticketmaster would be smart enough to change that over as well to the new ticket holder.
