"Chase This Light" is either third or fourth best on that album for me.

Add "Byebyelove" to the list of songs I don't care for.

    hmmm

Byebyelove is one of the only JEW songs that is actively shit. I can never get my head round what the aim was with that chorus.

I can't think of any shit songs from the SP-Damage run. Even the b-sides are good to great

Yeah, there are definitely no "shit" songs.

The worst thing on an official release in that gap is the Styrofoam remix of "Drugs or Me."

    Yeah that ones pretty rough.

Gun to my head Your House is my least favorite of that run but it's still a fine enough song.

This lyric breaks my heart every single time. I can't help but picture my grandad fixing my old truck after I'd broke down or bringing me a 24 pack of water when I had the flu because he "heard somewhere that water will cure even the Devils worst headache" or the time he taught me how to fix a lawnmower or weedeater. He was a good man. I miss him.

Hear You Me hits me in a way that not a lot of songs ever have. I always think of my grandparents who I took for granted and have passed away. When my grandfather passed away in 2008, that was when I truly felt the impact death could have. Since then, I have always connected Hear You Me to my grandfather and grandmother who passed away in 2005. The song will always have a special place in my heart and I only feel like it will hit me harder and harder as time moves forward.

Also, if we're talking songs we aren't that into from this band, here are my takes. Granted, I still do enjoy these songs and think they're good, but they're easily my least favorites on their respective albums.

Goodbye Sky Harbor (sorry Kenneth), The Authority Song, Feeling Lucky, Action Needs An Audience, and Byebyelove.

I also think about my grandpa when I listen to that song. My wife and I recorded a cover of it like the day after he passed away. I always get a lump in my throat at the "And if you were with me tonight..." part.

I like Goodbye Sky Harbor but don't get the length at all, haha.

I love the iTunes Sessions performance of Sky Harbor because a) it's shorter and b) it has the dope heavy guitar in the chorus.

Bleed American is such an incredible album. I have such positive memories and emotions attached to the title track, A Praise Chorus, The Middle, Sweetness, and If You Don't, Don't. And then there's Hear You Me, Cautioners, and My Sundown which absolutely destroy me.

I never knew who Jimmy Eat World was until sometime when I was in middle school and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 had come out. Pain was on that soundtrack and I remember falling in love so much that I edited the in game soundtrack playlist to only play Pain. I never thought to check out more of their stuff until high school and I'm eternally grateful that I did because this band is so important to me. I am forever thankful for Futures, Clarity, Bleed American, Chase The Light and everything else. God damn this is such a sappy post, but listening to Bleed American again just gave me so many emotions.
