Can it be too early to start talking about bad boys III?

Had no idea this was happening until I saw this video on YouTube
    .

Super excited, loved the first 2. No Michael Bay though :tear: love or hate him, his style can't really be replicated.

Martin Lawrence feels like he's a little bit off here. I fear this will just make me sad.

Just watched the first two on Netflix, hadn't seen them in a long time. They really are great movies. Great action, funny as hell, and the chemistry between Smith and Lawrence is incredible. Looking forward to this but it's gonna be hard to top BB 2.

a friend and i saw this last night. i won't front, i think i misjudged this movie. i think it was... decent! maybe it's the perfect storm of having subzero expectations, a really good packed theater, and my friend being a much bigger fan of the first two than i ever was, but i had a pretty good time with it. didn't feel anywhere near as retrograde as the other movies, and the smith/lawrence duo is no less than convincing. amazing how much a franchise can improve just by not having bay involved (bumblebee being the other example i guess.)

it's not without it's problems, the humor lands about half the time if even, and its a bit all over the place as far as tonality. there's also a twist towards the end that could've used a little more punching up. probably some other flaws i'm not thinking of right now. but if those are the worst things about a 2020 martin lawrence movie, you could do a whole lot worse. weirdly nice to have a film like this in january that feels marginally fresh when the other two aged like sour milk, and that's if they were even good at the time

also funny how will smith or someone makes a high school musical reference when vanessa hudgens is in the cast. didn't seem intentional either

Hated the first two but this is actually fairly solid all things considered, can definitely tell Michael Bay doesn't have his grubby paws all over it as well as the action scenes are coherent, the humour isn't crass and it treats women with respect rather than exploiting them.

I rewatched the first one last night and wow that movie has not aged well. It's horribly directed, even for a Michael Bay film. I'm honestly shocked it was popular.

Still interested in seeing this one as it looks like dumb fun.

I remember loving the first scene of the first film and the tripping scene from the second one. Nothing else at all about either movie.
