Yeah, this whole album seems like it's gonna be a miss for me.

Like the verses a lot, but the chorus is pretty annoying. Might be my least favorite released so far, although I don't actually remember what Ready, Fire, Aim sounds like at all

Knew this whole project was going to be a dud the second they started working with Crush/Butch for me, but commercially it's going to do great. Definitely will be hearing this on a cellphone/car commercial soon.

As if I should be shocked that this band is shit now but wow...

I need to listen to Insomniac now just to get this out of my system.

Yeah these three songs are brutal and not for me at all. I liked Rev Radio and these songs feel like significant steps backwards.

They must be doing this on purpose. They cannot be this bad by accident surely?

I thought Revolution Radio was mostly garbage but they're outdoing themselves with this. Unreal.

They're 13 albums deep at this point, who cares

  8. Yeah this is the worst thing I've ever heard from them by a long shot lmao

This song feels left over from the trilogy. Not a compliment

These songs have been exactly “fine” for me. Oh Yeah is my favorite so far - actually think it could grow on me quite a bit. I agree that it feels like it’s building toward something that doesn’t really ever come, but it’s catchy and fun.

I do think they are going for a self-deprecating schtick but I mean that only works if you have the music to back it up.

Anyway, it’s cool they’re donating the proceeds of this song to RAINN and IJM (not really sure what that one is though lol)

Honestly, while I don't hate any of these songs too much, I really wonder what the thought process was that decided "Hey, we're 30 years into our career and this is the best music that we want to make right now." I just don't get the direction at all.

Is this the last album of their record deal on Reprise? I can see it being them just quickly trying to churn out one last album before going independant.

  13. They wanna be famous again and play stadiums, they basically said as much when they signed with Crush. Just wish I liked the music.

GREEN DUDES BEST GREEN DAY PODCAST Prestigious

It is. They've talked about going independent afterwards.

This song is three for three for me, love the direction they're heading in on this record. Hoping it will leak soon!

Yeah, but, I mean, they're already as famous as a rock band probably can be these days (at least I assume they're still playing stadiums, haven't really paid attention to their tours for a few years) and how many new fans are they really going to attract with this? If you don't like Green Day at this point, I can't imagine anyone listening to any of these songs and changing their minds

I would think that the first few singles would have some momentum already if it were a commercial hit.

I downloaded the new single yesterday and still haven’t listened to it

  18. I haven’t really been into any Green Day stuff since American Idiot, but this new stuff has got me on board again.

It has Look What You Made Me Do syndrome where you hear the chorus once and think "Okay, this is going somewhere" and then it plays again pretty much unchanged

Butch makes the verses sound good but it's definitely the weakest of the three so far

Ever since reading this comparison yesterday, the song has become a lot more enjoyable to me for some reason lol. It’s definitely a grower

American Idiot is an all time favorite of mine, so it almost pains me to enjoy these songs as little as I do. If they weren't Green Day, I'd likely shut them off before even finishing.

All I know is this the most fun I have had listening to Green Day in a long time. Listened to all 3 songs on my run this morning and closed my move ring on my watch.

Listened to the album today, it’s awful! I was shocked! Literally sounds what every dime a dozen radio rock act coming out today. They just copied the trend and poorly at that. I was legitimately shocked at how bad this was.
