I think I hate RVD more with every IG post he makes.


How were the shows last night? I haven't been spoiled and was dealing with brutal toothpain last night so it was an early night for me.

Which should I watch first?

 

AEW really needs to get Frank to make a cameo one show.

 

RVD getting the impact twitch banned is pretty funny. He's one of the only heels I've legit gotten super annoyed by with his schtick.

 

Both were good, but thought NXT was stellar. The return of Iassac Yankem was truly shocking, and I think you’d really like him. In all seriousness tho, both very good. Preferred NXT

 

His whole match and shit on Sunday night was fucking lame

Jordynne Grace is my fav female worker and also seems like an extraordinary person, i hope they can grab her down the road

super stoked about Taz - but where the fuck do they put him? he's best at the desk, anything else would feel like a waste, but i dont see any of the current three going anywhere and they already signed Goldenboy to do nothing

 

Move JR off the desk. Excalibur and Tazz were awesome together on Dark.

 

this is absolutely the move i just have doubts that they'll do it. maybe with that cash injection from the renewal they can afford to have him "advise" for the rest of his deal.

 

Taz just seems to have a ton of respect for the current style and none of the bitterness

 

Man, that was a 5 star NXT last night. Not normally a fan of battle royals, but that was was brilliant. Although there were so many people in there I wanted to win, of course it’s someone I don’t like that does win. Gah. Good filler feud for Rhea I guess. Loved Shotzi eliminating Shayna too.

I’m expecting it to be Dunne & Riddle, but Grizzled Young Veterans need to win the Dusty Classic. That promo after the win by Gibson was top class heel work.

The Worlds Collide show is looking better by the day...

Dynamite was awesome.
The Elite might not be aaaas over as they could be, but it's insane how over Darby Allin is.

 

Worlds Collide might have the best match quality of any takeover ever. It wont have the stakes of a Takeover: New Orleans, but in pure matchups, my god is the card stacked.

Rhea/Toni is gonna be as good as any takeover womens match, Balor/Dragunov is cool as hell, DIY/MM is gonna be insane, the cruiserweight 4-way is probably gonna steal the show, and just for fun there's basically a WarGames level matchup in Imperium v TUE.

And Broserweights v Grizzled Young Vets could be every bit as good as the DIY/Revival matches were...although are they not doing the finals at Worlds Collide?

 

Yeah it's crazy that Darby doesn't really have anything else going on right now

 

it's fine when it comes to Darby and taking their time. He's so young. This guy is 100% the future, so I have no problem holding off. I think he has all the makings of AEW's "sting" type guy.

I didn't love dynamite last night. I hate fatal 4 way tags that aren't elimination matches. It doesn't matter what company is doing it, or who's in it, just not a fan of that type of match. And obviously in no way at all did Page do anything wrong.

And then i thought the rest of dynamite wasn't really all that great. Womens match was terrible. And the rest of the matches were fine... it really bugged me they didn't play Ambrose's music when he came out of the car.

 

Completely agree here. He's the guy you build up as your Sami of NXT; when he finally does win, people will go nuts for him. Especially since they have a lot of mid-30 something guys who are bigger stars that they can rightfully push right now.

Whereas their womens side, their vets are blah, and they could totally push younger women in lieu of Awesome Kong

 

both shows were so fucking good. goddamn.

 

ive got a little money put away and i think when AEW announces their first NY PPV my cheap ass will be going to my first PPV at 30 lol

 

oh and i will say these Dark Video vignettes is everything i want in wrestling. I wish the guys weren't such goobers and didn't look so goofy in the ring, cause these vignettes are EXCELLENT.

 

They should have known this, too. When I was with them for Comic Con, she was struggling just walking up and down stairs. We had to leave about 10 minutes early everywhere we went because she was so slow moving. She also had a really small carry-on luggage with her that she was carrying up stairs at one point and could hardly even lift it. I ended up carrying it for her because she was struggling so much. One of the TNT reps we were with who had been doing media with her the past month mentioned to me that her back is royally messed up.
