Thing that blows my mind the most is that we've had a billion debates and still can't get an actual substantive discussion out of any of them. We also had one with Warren and Sanders on trade, and then Amy went all IOWA and yeah...

Would love to listen to an long discussion between Warren and Sanders on Warrens pragmatism (supporting Trump's trade deal, compromising on M4A to get something passed by 2022...) vs Sanders's idealism (wanting to hold out for a better trade deal, get real M4A passed the first time...) cause I think there is a lot of really good discussion to be had there. Can we afford to waste political capital on half measures knowing it'll slow real advancement? If we don't, what do we do for the people who need help now? I don't think there are immediate obvious answers.

Really don’t think anyone in here disagrees with the idea that Bernie has always been far from perfect. Rather, it’s that many of the people who fixate on criticizing him for such things— including people I see responding to that tweet — are simultaneously complete apologists for politicians who are objectively worse for non-white people policy-wise, eg Clinton, Harris
