So Bleed American, huh?

"My Sundown" has always been my favorite song on this record. I think it might be the most serene thing in their catalog. Relaxing and hopeful, but bittersweet and kind of heartbreaking at the same time. Kind of remarkable that they still have two better closers. Still, that's a magical song.

seems to be a p popular opinion to put CTLs title track last. Its a good song but my least favorite of the t/ts

 

it's just that the others are so good. it's better than most bands' title tracks though

 

Bleed American is always my go-to "least favorite" of the 1999-2013 streak, but I listened to it on my run the other day and it was boss. When an album that good is your sixth favorite, that rocks.

There are no songs on this record I dislike, just a few I don't love or have attachment to like a lot of the JEW discography.

 

Pretty much my exact thoughts on Invented. But yeah, what a band.

 

Invented is the next one up for me, but I could see the same argument for that album.

I do kind of feel like Bleed should be temporarily retired for their next tour though. I think most of the songs on it need a rest.

 

I realized the other day I was wrong about something: Get It Faster is great. This band only has one song from SP-Damage I really don't like

I'm pretty new to JEW, but after hearing "My Sundown" a few times I feel like it would make a really cool opener. Don't get me wrong, I think it makes a really good closer, but "My Sunrise" would make a really cool slow opener that leads into a fast punch.

Also probably my least favorite from that six-album run. That or "Higher Devotion."

 

Has anyone ever seen JEW at a festival? Is it much different to seeing them play a regular concert? They rarely play in my country but they are coming to a festival for the first time in years. Still, the setlist will mainly be their greatest hits and I don't think they'll be able to play for more than an hour. I really don't know what to do.

 

The only time I've seen JEW was at Taste of Chaos last year. They played for a little more than an hour and it was fantastic. I hope they do a club tour soon.

 

Your House is the only song I don't care for from the SP-Damage run

 

Your New Aesthetic, Blister, Get It Faster, The Authority Song, Higher Devotion and Action Needs an Audience are the songs I still don't really like.

Somebody's Blues, Hear You Me and Nothingwrong are all fine but would probably be the next three weakest.
