That’s not on Watson. It’s on his shitty coach and his shitty play calling. Christ. Coaching matters.

 

Texans are gonna have a weird off-season. There's actually a very Andy Reid-style reason to keep him and hope it all works out. His moves as GM were pretty solid. He can fire Crennel and rework the defense. He can give up play calling duties and hire a legit OC. There's examples of coaches doing that and the team getting better; and the continuity could be good.

But man, this is also the exact moment to fire BoB and start anew. Because if they fuck up who they resign this offseason and heading into 2021, Watson is only gonna win a SB by going elsewhere.

In my fantasy league a guy traded Aaron Jones for Robert Woods and I was the only one to veto

The guy who traded Jones away finished last

 

I never blamed Watson solely. I said Watson and the offense. Meaning the entire offense. They scored 7 points in the second half after having a few scores gifted to them. Watson was not terrible. He played fine. But it wasn’t good enough and the offense is certainly part of the reason they lost.
