Wasn't even this long a wait between SNW and DE...

 

As much as I want a new album, I can live with the wait. 4 years seems perfectly reasonable for a band this far into their career. At least we have reassurances that something is being worked on.

 

Considering all the controversy that came out about how little Stef was involved in the writing process of Gore, I’m sure they’re going to continue taking their time with whatever is coming next so that everyone is happy with it.

 

I'm getting progressively more impatient but I have faith we'll have a date soon

 

I’d be impatient too if Deftones was the only music I listened to

 

I think it's on Chino to finish up vocals. As far as I know the music was all recorded last year.

I'd seen this band's name around and figured they were some generic metalcore band I wouldn't like but Chino tweeted out the music video for this song and holy shit I'm in love

 

I came here to post this! So damn good. The other songs released so far are quite heavy by contrast.

 

Yeah I listened to the other songs and it's much sicker metalcore than I thought but also gimme more of this please lol

Came here to post the Loathe track. Glad people are diggin. Excited for LP

 

Went to preorder the Loathe LP and it's like 50 with shipping damn.

 

So I’ve been doing this for a couple of years but figured I’d share.

“Hole In The Earth’s” intro into the airy portion before Chino starts singing is the exact length of time it takes for a plane to get down the runway and start to lift off. So right as those airy guitar chords hit, it feels like you’re lifting off with it.

I figured this out because:
I got into this band because of Saints Row 3 and would always fly the plane in that game and that song would come on. I eventually just used it as a go-to plane song and one day started it up as the plane was taking off.

Start it a little after the engines kick up going down the runway

 

This is amazing. I have a thing about putting on a great song just as the plane takes off but lately I've been fresh out of good ideas. Now I have a flight in two days and I've been on a huge Deftones kick so obviously I have to try this!

 

A guy on Reddit met Frank and Abe yesterday. Frank apparently confirmed that Terry Date's produced the record and that it's coming out in April
