there was a lot of posters on ap back then who were just awful at the best of times but quite knowledgable about music. like they knew their shit but went about it the complete wrong way.

Everyone I was close to on AP in the early years have gotten married, had kids, or just grew out of posting. and here I am no kids, no husband. Oh the dull life I lead.

 

I once went to a DEP show with hXc_pwnage and Harold Wood. Totally blanking on their names (Harold's real name might've been Will?). Not sure if they were ever issues with them, but this conversation just brought them to memory.

there's a thread on AP right now where Slade is defending his homophobic comments from like, 2006. It's really disturbing

 

kearn1tm, briewer, IntotheSun, etc., were fun AP.net friends at one time. I for a while was their pop music friend.

The beginning of that Hush Sound thread is awful. On a related but happier note, I saw the Hush Sound in December and they were awesome.

Well, "mock" is an understatement, he's just kinda an asshole who liked to pick on me. His whole schtick was based on me using the word "Coachillin" when talking about Coachella, and he changed his name & avatar during the time he thought it was hilarious to pick on me. And then it lasted years.

ah it descends into sexism once people start defending them. jeez

 

back when the forums was kinda worse than the news threads. now it's the reverse.
