those "tactical fouls". it's a thing ive noticed in the couple games since Arteta has joined arsenal, so many tactical fouls when possession is conceded.

it's one of those things you hate when it happens against you but has to be done at the highest level in the modern game or transitional play will kill you. ive been waiting for arsenal to do it for a decade

Another good goal but horrendous defending from Lindelof. I had a prediction of 4-0 to City. Think I was too optimistic.

Exactly. I fucking hate it. But I hate the way we avoid doing it even more.

    Oh we actually scored!

it’s madness we have 3 yellows and they only have 1. That’s what you get with Mike Dean though.

Have Inter become a full time Man United rehab centre or something?

Hopefully. They can take Lingard, Jones, Lindelof, and Mata too.

It's weird to feel good about Arsenal again.

I'm under no illusions that the squad is incredibly uneven and there's going to be more losses, albeit hopefully less frequently, but we've won two games in a row for the first time in like 3/4 months.

Arteta has already made a massive impact and his work at halftime to change the game around without making any big tactical changes says a lot about his ability to motivate. He said afterwards that he felt we thought after winning that we could relax and underestimate Leeds, and he had to remind us and kick us into gear.

The improvement of several players is hugely impressive. Reiss Nelson has finally kicked on after a bad start to the season, and Ozil looks better than at any point in the last few years. Sokratis looked immense at the back on Monday, and Torreira and Xhaka are both playing well.

My only worries are that we know the Emirates crowd can turn on the players quite quickly and we need to stick together when we do lose and ride out the bumps. If we get into gear, catching up to United and Spurs should be imminently possible, and 5th place isn't TOTALLY out of the question.

  17. Sissoko out until April. Kane out for an undetermined amount of time. Rose, Ndombele also injured. Of course Hugo is also still out for awhile.

This team is so thin right now. I think the latest injuries will force Levy to buy a couple players this window. If not, things could spiral even further.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Yeah, they really need to do something because this is a struggle

Apparently Crystal Palace is close to a loan with Kyle Walker Peters too, which, I know he hasn't been good but we're thin on defense already

Arteta has the minerals, it will take time but he'll get us playing the kind of football we want. The fitness level of the players is shit from Emery, so they have all admitted they cant sustain playing like Arteta wants for a full 90 minutes. The squad is also thin in certain areas, need to get in another CM and another CB that can partner with Saliba when he comes in the summer (it looks like it might be Upamecano), and get our first choice fullbacks back at some point. I really like what he has so far with Mesut/Torreria/Xhaka. There will definitely be rough patches but he is who we need in charge

  20. I’d be happy with 2 signings. We need more lol but 2 seems like the most realistic for a January window, if any at all.

Max Aarons and Boukakary Soumare is the dream. We’ll end up with Fellani and Boateng and continue to suck.

As I said Spurs are cursed. I lost 6 players to injury over an international break in FM. Max Aarons joined them in the first summer so I sold Walker-Peters and bought Matt Doherty Both Aarons and Doherty got injured. No right back except for Sissoko coming off a 6 month ACL. Sessegnon and Davies both got injured too so I’ve pretty much no full backs. Kane and Manor Solomon who I signed as we had no right wingers also got injured. Fucking hell.

Can Dele Alli play wingback? Who the fuck knows but he’s about to learn how to.

to be fair Kane has been utter shite this season only scored one goal in our first match so I was about ready to drop him for Parrott.

  22. is this real life or FM?

  23. You know what really sucks? Spurs were heavily linked to Maddison and Grealish in consecutive windows. Could’ve had both for like 25m each. Now they’re both killing it and worth at least double. We could’ve sold Eriksen without hesitation and still have a very good attacking midfield. But instead we have the same squad we had 3 years ago, the players are burnt out, and we need fresh faces and ideas.

Art imitating life. Good news Kane came back from injury in fine form scoring 3 goals in two games before promptly disappearing again. He’s been in great form for England and was class in those two games for me. Turns out that United we’re scouting him for those two games and the England games. Bastard.

We’ve offered Young a years contract extension. What in the ever loving fuck is wrong with this club.
