I'd be so crushed if a few bands I cherish were to come to light for bad behavior. Mostly Circa Survive/Anthony Green and then like Paramore and Daughter.

It's what's kept me from getting any band-inspired tattoos so far admittedly. And yeah, I'd stop listening to them.

I always feel like cwh*t RIP being like I mostly listen to female artists but it's true, I just find it's usually more life affirming and inclusive and it's nice when a concert feels like a safe space because I know for lots of people they often aren't

I trust in the pureness of Paramore tbh and will get more tats for them but yeah I guess it's always a risk

I'm very much like this too. If it's not a rapper I actively follow (the list of which would be fairly short), I barely know them or only have heard of them because they are like super cancelled, like Migos.

 

I understand this impulse but this line of thinking is so toxic and please don't do it love you guys

 

It's not even just the lack of hip hop though, it's the lack of POCs in general. I find it hard to believe that a person who listens to a lot of music only likes music by whites without race coming into it

Right like obviously I don’t fault anyone for not liking a genre of music like hip hop. Much like most music genres, the better stuff is more ‘underground’ and harder for an outsider to know how to get into
But that’s different than no POC at all
