That is also good. Revenant is maybe the worst.

Off the top of my head, Gangs of New York is probably his weakest performance, but that’s because A) he doesn’t have a ton to work with and B) Daniel Day Lewis casts such a large shadow.

I need to rewatch Wolf of Wall Street but The Departed has been my favourite Leo performance for a while

Speaking of Leo films, I need to watch The Aviator

Apart from the great films mentioned above Leo is also really good in QT’s Django Unchained I think. His Inception performance is also top notch as well.

Leo’s literally one of my favourite actors though so maybe I’m a bit biased.

I’d argue Leo’s best performance is between Wolf and Departed.

This, Wolf, and Catch Me if You Can are the big 3 for me

Also examples of the filmmakers utilizing his particular talents the best

my top 3 leo performances are probably this, the departed, and django. i don't love the movie, it's probably my second least favorite QT, but his performance is captivating in a deranged way we've never really seen from him.

The adulation for DiCaprio is always so baffling. He feels like a high school drama student trying too hard. At his best he is just good enough not to bring the rest of a movie down. In this movie Brad Pitt is doing much more interesting work.

I’ve always felt DiCaprio is rarely ever bad but often doesn’t raise above ‘pretty good’ or whatever. This and maybe a few others are the exception, I guess.

And yeah, Pitt is better in this but I love him in nearly everything he’s done so him being great is so commonplace unless I feel the need to point it out.

They’re rich handsome movie stars so it’s not like this statement means much but as actors Pitt is way underrated and DiCaprio way overrated

My mother is of that generation who asks what movie stars are in a movie before she sees it. When she hears Brad Pitt she always says she hates him. I think it goes back to something he was in in the 90's.

When Meet Joe Black came out she let me go see it and she took my brother to see something else. Because Meet Joe Black was so long she did not want to wait for it to be over so she made me miss the last hour or so.

I know she didn't like Fight Club, but I think it stems from his tabloid relationships. She keeps up with a lot of that drama.

When I was young I remember Legends of the Fall came out and I always thought he was just a typical pretty boy actor and never gave him a chance. What a doofus I was!
