I feel like it's worth it to atleast try. He is seriously almost everything I want in a partner (plus he has a cute accent). It's easy being with him you know what I mean? It's all up in the air. He does civil engineering stuff and he's been here 2 years and he had no clue he was going to go back. He thought he might move around the us but not back to Scotland. That also means he could come back over here but our relationship is so new that's way too far to think about.

Yea, sounds like a tough situation... It couldn't hurt to try the long distance thing for a little bit to see how things progress and get a better feel for how long he might be away. It's definitely do-able. Don't really have anything to lose by doing so (unless there's guys lined up waiting for you outside. haha). Good luck, but more importantly, take advantage and enjoy this last month together. Don't think of what happens next month. :)

Haha I didn't know that was widely known. A few months ago I met someone who knows her, and she was telling me about how Delilah just thought it was the creepiest thing ever and wanted no part of it. Definitely came off as creepier than that article describes haha.

 

I feel like everything I have to say is making me a broken record at this point.

I just miss all the good things. I made peace with losing all the bad. If only I could accept that you couldn't have one without the other.

Going in to this I expected another one of those stories that just breaks your heart, but honestly it just clarified something I've thought for a long time - that open relationships (and not gross affairs) would make a lot more people happy than they would admit.
I've never talked about this with anyone, but my parents divorce due to my father's affair destroyed my views on traditional marriage/relationships. It changed my mother for the worse and forever damaged her - the same could be said of 'Stephen' in that article should he ever find out. I think 100% of people would cheat if the circumstances were "right", so it could happen to any of us - we are controlled by natural urges in this sense. With an open relationship, you could protect yourself AND your partner from that devastation that can last forever IMO. Of course you'd need the right rules (and everyone would differ here), but isn't there plenty of compromise in successful relationships anyway?

2 year anniversary today! I am gonna renew her I think. It includes a cat and a two car garage this time to go with me and my dog. p sweet.

Yeah that was def the majority opinion, the comments were tearing the woman to shreds. Mostly for the egotistic way it was written and the horrible "friendship" she has with the dudes wife, on top of the cold, calculated way she goes about the whole thing. Bit of an eye-opener, eh?!
