Lol I’m sorry. There was basically nobody in my family that watched NBA regularly (so no Magic Fans other the ones who lived in Orlando but were casual fans and I didn’t see them often) and it just happened that way.

At least I can say I was was a fan before the first championship or the LeBron days lmao

 

When you think about it tho, the magic have only really been bad post-Dwight so like 6 seasons? It was just a reallly bad 6 seasons. Your other team the Suns were kind of the same, really good in the 90s, had that weird Kidd/hardaway saga but were still good, then the Nash dantoni teams and have been painfully bad for the last decade. Both competed for championships multiple times, it's not that bad matt. Imagine being a bucks fan lol

Dwyane Wade quickly became my favorite player though (and still is) so that’s why I continued to stick with them.

I only got into basketball because I accidentally channel surfed to a blazers playoff game and saw Rasheed Wallace getting into it with a ref. I got his jersey from the NBA store (when it was humongous and you could play basketball inside) the following year and started watching basketball more and more often.

I got into basketball cause I was born in a cursed city. But I got into the NBA cause of Nash, Kidd, and Carter.

 

I just looked it up because I couldn’t remember what year it was but I definitely watched the Malace in the Palace game live because it was the same year Shaq was traded. I was in like 4th or 5th grade, that shit was wild lol.
