Of course people are complaining about the setlist, who cares what they play.

 

People are never satisfied.

 

That should be the official definition of life.

 

Oh come on I think people have good reason to complain about it though. I've seen Blink live 10 times over the course of 15 years and the set lists have been 90% identical. For the three shows I've seen in the last 5 years the setlists have been 99% identical. They've been around for over 20 years and have 7 albums worth of material, they can certainly spice it up a bit.

 

Do other bands with that much material spice it up? I feel at some point all bands just play the hits

 

If Blink even want to play deeper cuts, they should do a special tour just for that. Announce it and say something like, "This tour is for all the fans that have been with us forever" and then play 15-20 deep cuts/non-singles, and maybe do an encore of 4 or 5 singles or something.

But I think at this point, they have to cater mostly to casual fans, especially if they want to fill arenas and amphitheaters.

 

Honestly most bands don't spice it up, except for maybe a song or two. Would it be cool if they changed it up ? Sure it would. But in my opinion they don't owe us anything and they can play whatever they wish.

 

I will say I don't mind one bit that they didn't do anything from Neighborhoods or DED lol.

 

i am only upset that "she's out of her mind" wasn't on the setlist. that's definitely my favorite song from the album.

I feel like She's Out Of Her Mind and San Diego would replace Kings and Los Angeles tonight.

 

I wish my job description included "Responsible for selecting blink's songs for their setlist on every damn show."

I dont know what kind of bands you guys see live but most of my favorites always spice it up. I saw Smashing Pumpkins twice within a 9 month period and the set lists were completely different except for one shared song.

Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Damien Rice, Beck, Bloc Party, Jenny Lewis, Jack White and Nine Inch Nails are just a few more I can think of who I always get totally different sets from every time I see them.

I'll say this, if Tom's gonna sport that facial hair the whole documentary I don't think I can watch it. Also, I wonder if he recognizes how douchey he sounds when he talks about himself as an artist

 

Exactly. The hardcore blink fans will go to these shows no matter what. These sets are for people that are either casual fans or fans going to see them for the first time. I mean if I went to see them for the first time and they didn't play WMAA or ATST I'd be bummed out.

I don't really mind it but it just feels out of place. I think their stage set-up is really cool for this tour.

 

Too bad that slowly melting chocolate drum riser didn't work out.
