i'd hate to see my OOTP time. i leave it up pretty much never close it out and run sims/play between whatever I am doing.

 

I gave up playing FM for years and years when I wasted part of an actual GCSE exam just thinking about tactics for upcoming matches. Realised it wasn't good for me at that stage.

 

I tried FM last year but it was too much for me, how I imagine OOTP would be for someone not super well-versed in baseball. It was incredibly overwhelming and there was immediate decision fatigue coupled with being out of my depth on all the minutiae. I love soccer a lot but I am not knowledgable at all on tactics and best practices. Baseball is so ingrained in me, so OOTP is a relative breeze.

 

The absolute worst part of FM is when you finally get a tactic that works and you beat a big team handily and then your players just decide the opposition box is fucking lava in the next game and you lose 2-0 to Fleetwood Town.

 

I have hundreds of hours played on FM19 yet have only finished a season ONCE
I've started games with every team under the sun but cannot make it through pre-season without getting bored, and that's with the in-game editor where I could get Messi on a free if I wanted lol. Playing with Betis atm and am trying to use inverted wingbacks for the first time. Seems cool.

My Bournemouth team had a pre season training camp in Hong Kong. So all the pre season games were against local Hong Kong teams. I’ve won every match so far easily but the last one was probably the funniest. I started the game and went upstairs and ended up being there longer than I thought I’d be. I get back and it’s the 42nd minute and we’re 12 nil up. We took 42 shots in the first half. Game ended 15-0 and we took 75 shots. What the fuck.


In addition not one of the Hong Kong teams have even had a shot off target against us. That 5 games without one single shot against us. What a fucking waste of a pre season.

 

I said it at the time but as a Forest fan we dreamed of the day when Wes Morgan would lift the Premier League. It was one of those ridiculous things: “can you imagine if...?!”

I have two brothers and we were all in agreement that it was just as special and unbelievable seeing it actually happen despite it being with Leicester! So pleased for him more than anything else from that season.

 

This is now unwatchable

 

6 games without a win in FM, however only 1 was a loss against Sheffield United in great form. Up against an unbeaten City side 6 points clear at the top. Tweaked my tactics and end up winning 1-0 while we were the better team all over the pitch. Moments like these make the game so special.

Disappointing start to the year, but can't complain with an equaliser like that. Plus I like Brighton so it's not so bad.

There’s been 3-4 times we’ve started a break and a Southampton player made a foul to stop it. None of the fouls received a yellow. Instead Lo Celso received a yellow for complaining lol
