When You Died is one of the few songs I actually remember from this album. After the hype of OTIP, I decided to check this out and found it mostly forgettable (which is part of the reason why I never looked back at anything before this). Their last 2 albums really won me over. I'll have to relisten to this and see if I like it any better now

 

Despite thinking this is a very good record, I do think it’s the weakest of the last four. That being said, there are three or four songs on here that are top tier Menzingers for me personally.

Yep, still not a particularly memorable album for me. Not bad by any means, but definitely the weakest of the last 4 albums. Anyway:

i dunno im surprised cuz i always liked bad things. tbh i definitely understand why ppl think rented world is their weakest record but its not like they have a weak record haha. i mayb be biased cuz i saw them for the first time right after they put out rented world and so saw them play a lot of those songs but depending on my mood i cant decide which one is their weakest all i know is chamberlain is the best ha.

 

I definitely don’t think this is a weak record by any stretch of the imagination, I still adore large chunks of it and everything else is mostly good, I just don’t think it’s as consistent front to back as most of their absurdly strong catalogue.

 

I’m actually surprised with how Rented World is viewed around here. I know I’m probably the only person ever who enjoys it more than OTIP, which is a phenomenal album. I just like Rented World THAT much.

To each their own though! Their worst is still leagues above the best by most bands.

Hearts Unknown, although both songs are rather unmemorable to me.

Where Your Heartache Exists, which is actually one of my favourites on the album by some way.

Nothing Feels Good Anymore, which I got into recently is now a favourite of mine.

Bad Things. This was close because I like both songs actually.
