Didn't Jesse say that Mene was written after TDAG and then they went away from it for years until re-recording it last year? I could see Mene not being on the album. I am a Nightmare will most certainly be on the album, I'd bet. Same with Sealed.

I don't remember where, but I read somewhere that Out of Range was recorded in 2010. No idea where I got that, though, so take with a grain of salt.

I think what does or doesn't go on the album will just depend on its overall tone. Strangers to Ourselves sounds like a coherent, finished product. On the other hand, I'm not sure I see I Am a Nightmare, Sealed to Me, Mene, and Out of Range all being on one coherent record. They sound wildly different, which can work depending on how the album flows, but they're songs written over a span of at least ten years, too. It's just hard to see them all fitting into one coherent frame.

Not to mention that would mean we've already heard probably over a third of LP5 :/

I just wrote above your post that I doubt Mene/Out of Range will be on new album. Seems like Nightmare and Sealed are new songs whereas Jesse said Mene was written after TDAG and Out of Range has been online for 3+ years at least. I'm guessing those two will be left off the album.

It was written for TDaG but scrapped while they were working on it because they didn't like it at the time.

Couldn't agree more. I could even see "Sealed To Me" and "Out of Range," but not "Mene." Maybe "I Am A Nightmare." This is such a confusing, crazy, frustrating, but also exhilarating situation ever.

    Yeah, same here.

My pet theory is that the summer single will be Sealed to Me, which is why they've stopped playing it, so they can start again once the single is out (like how they started playing 1996 and Brothers again once 3 Demos came out).

I am so ridiculously excited to hear a fully recorded/mastered "Sealed to Me." Like even more than I want to hear the announcement of the full album, maybe. Almost.

Lol I just heard Out of Range a month ago, and it's probably among my favorite BN songs.

    Love the remastered version.

I've wanted Mene on vinyl for ages. To get Out Of Range, a song I never thought would see the light of day, on there too. On a clear 7". Fuck I love this band. Fuck I love Out Of Range. I love this remastering.

I swear the guitar part during the chorus (as we're madeeeee, we start to breakkkkkk) has been re-recorded, or another layer has been tacked on to it. It just leaps out.

I'm in a really dark place right now. While I've had this song for a while, this is helping to say the least

Now that the Mene vinyl is available at shows, (according to the band Instagram), I wonder if there's any info in them there sleeves...
    I'm an optimist.

EDIT- somebody posted photos on Reddit. There's anatomical drawings of the snake and it's all labelled. It seriously looks so cool. Fuck knows when the UK will receive these though - we still haven't got the bloody IAAN vinyl.

So the sleeve is like tracing/grease-proof paper? I like this a lot. Seriously so cool. What a damn pretty little package.

Anyone know what happened at the Brand New Tulsa show last night? I saw someone tweet out "What just happened in Tulsa, Jesse is pissed" then he responded to another account saying "Jesse stormed off stage."
