The sword fight at the end of episode one is slick.

I'm really liking this the more episodes I watch. Cavill is a fantastic Geralt and the setting is great. Still not sure about the politics but I know that's a big plot in the books which they're adapting.

Good guy, but a bad dude

Finished it. Cavill as Geralt is great. For a show that had such a massive budget, the cgi really needed work. The talking dragon was yikes. Outside of that, the battles were great and the short stories were well adapted. I think it will find its footing as they move into the actual full-length novels.

I agree with the CGI, that dragon head was just astonishingly bad.

  16. I'm afraid to start this and be severely disappointed. After watching great television lately in Watchmen, Mr Robot and the Expanse I don't think this will be nearly as exciting. May wait til my high from those shows dies down haha.

Honestly, inject it straight into my veins. I really love it more and more as it goes along. I was very confused in the beginning and still don't know really what's going on, so much, but I'm enjoying the ride.

First two episodes were not great, but 3/4/5 were all fantastic. I’m super sold on Cavill as Geralt.

I LOVED this show, but I also loved the games, and know all the lore. I think it took until about episode 4 to find its footing and become really good.

Cavill IS Geralt. Chalotra was great as Yen. I liked the comedic take on Jaskier (Dandelion). The 3 timeline structure was an interesting, and successful imo, way to give the 3 main characters each a story, even though they all happen mainly at different times.

edit: the cgi was really bad.

Watched the first epsidoe and enjoyed it. I feel dumb for not making the Blavikan connection in the first episode despite having played W3 a couple of times

Does Geralt just happen to call his horse Roach or is it specifically named after Vernon? I always assumed it was the later, which will make his eventual appearance somewhat interesting because the joke will go the other direction.

Triple post: I’m on ep3, and really liking it. Not gonna win any awards, but I wouldn’t compare it to syfy shows.
