    Blistering Guitar Lead

This was one of the more cynical nostalgia grabbing blockbusters in a year full of them

The fact that three posts in a row claimed he hit different objects is not a testament to the cinematography in this.

how about Han's final words ever being "I Know" - that was perfection.

There's always a part of Star Wars that will be corny. You know good will always win.

I'm just so, so sad that my baby boy Ben Solo is dead. How do you bring him back to have him die for absolutely no reason? Ben Solo was the best part of the entire movie and I love him with my entire heart. I'm so so so depressed that he's supposedly gone. My headcannon is going to be that he's going to be brought back from the netherworlds of the Force because he wasn't a force ghost at the end.

The force tug-o-war between Kylo and Rey is a top moment of the saga.

Anyone who says Rey and Kylo didn't need to kiss is just wrong, I'm sorry. Ever since he bridal carried her in TFA it was obvious he was drawn to her and her to him from TLJ on. But to have him die right after is unforgivable. I'm trying to decide if I even want to see this movie again today and I have 2 tickets today.

Most reviews are saying how the first hour of this movie is a mess but then it finds its footing after that. But tbh I think most of my favorite moments were in the first half, with the Rey/Kylo showdown on the desert planet being a highlight.

I fully believe Leia's final act was to bring Ben back to the light side, and conjured the vision (not a force ghost) of Han at an earlier time. Leia projected the last time Ben saw Han as Ben Solo, which goes in line with why Luke looked the way he did when he projected himself to Kylo in the last Jedi. I also thought it was beautifully poetic that as soon as Ben was fully redeemed, Leia faded at the same time into the Force.

Even with the deadline, the problem is that there should have been an outline for the story arc of this trilogy before they went in and made the first one. Yeah they didn't have a lot of time to write the specific scripts but Kennedy had years to huddle with whoever she wanted to, whether it was JJ or Lawrence Kasdan, or even George himself, to come up with an overarching plot for these movies. Instead, they decided to improvise.

I love The Last Jedi. It's the clear best film of these three new movies. But they should not have let Rian Johnson do whatever he wanted to do if they weren't going to respect it. It's that simple. They had no problem with what he was doing when he was making the damn film. And they would have meddled if they did, they damn sure meddled in Rogue One and Solo when they decided they didn't like what those filmmakers were doing. But instead of respecting what Rian Johnson did (who, again, was not given any direction about where this story was supposed to go, because there wasn't any direction to give, and so he did his own thing), they decided to completely rewrite his decisions. And as a result we have a first and third movie that feel like they're part of one trilogy, and a middle movie that feels like it's part of another trilogy entirely.

I honestly would rather JJ have made his own middle movie that actually set up the Palpatine stuff so it didn't come out of nowhere as an obvious desperate retcon, and have Rian re-work his TLJ ideas into his own trilogy based around interrogating the legacy of the Jedi and Star Wars in general, just so that none of this would have ever happened.

I think I would have liked this 100% more if Rey actually killed Chewy and had to deal with that and if They didn’t kiss and Ben didn’t die at the end.

Also typing that I just noticed Rey’s little lightning totally exploded that ship but Palpatine’s huge lightning was just a minor inconvenience for the rebel ships.
