Palpy must have had some action pretty late in the game to have a granddaughter Rey's age.:eh:Also apparently his son or daughter wasn't strong in the force I guess?

I feel like the more I think about it the less I like this.

I'm the same. Something about it was just lacking, and I can't pin point what. I need to see it again though and let it sink in.

I can’t really express how awful this was. Felt like the prequels to me. the first time we see the knight of Ren, does one of the Stormtroopers say “goals”? Because I am convinced he does but no one else I saw with could make it out

Everything with the dagger and who had it and how it works is honestly pretty much the definition of plot convenience, right?

I forget what was said. I’ll do my best to try to catch it in my screening a little later.

Also - not trying to be too negative, but there was no reason to introduce a new robot. D-O was not cute or funny.

I think his son wanted to run from the dark side. I don’t know though. I really want to read the Novelization of this. Maybe more answers are in there. Ben did say they were nobodies because they wanted to be.

    Toys.

but yea, I don’t think he really added or did anything of substance. At one point it confirms what we already knew at that point?

I don’t have to use spoiler tags at this point. But I will wait until my late screening and then I’ll drop a ton of feelings and questions haha

I thought his, “No thank you,” thing was pretty cute, but it could not have been more telegraphed to make into memes. Still hope the little guy can get some personal space in the rest of his life.

I enjoyed this movie. Obviously it isn't perfect, but it was satisfying enough. It was definitely entertaining. I went into it only watching one trailer and avoiding all internet/social media impressions, so take that for what it's worth.

I’m glad I didn’t read anything about this before hand because I actually enjoyed it. I found myself going into it a little cynical and almost trying to hate it but like a true Jedi I did not give in. The first two aliens in the movie though were kind of jarring. They didn’t feel star warsy to me. But everything was fine and fun. That’s all I ask for out of a movie like this. Of course it had its flaws but all the Star Wars movies do

Yeah that guy who got his head chopped off was totally weird and out of place. Reminded me of something way back in my memory that’s completely unrelated to this, like a video game maybe. That scene was what they showed after The Mandalorian and his face was all I could think about once the clip was over.

Well now I know what actual fan service being turned into a movie looks like. Haha. I’m gonna have some thoughts.

This is the movie-story every kid And his friends at camp made up in sleeping bags when they were eight being made into a movie.

And then this happens and then what if this happened and then ...

This was kind of a mess.

I borderline hated this. Was Larry Kasdan not available to give the script even a quick once-over?
