Also, unrelated to that, Edge returning at the Rumble would be insane and if he’s actually cleared I hope they go that route.

There is no way in hell I could watch an Edge match in 2020 and not be terrified throughout. I’d love to see it but I also really don’t want it to ever happen.

 

That Rhea/Shayna match was some 5 star professional wrestling right there. Nearly bought a tear to my eye. Love it when wrestling does that.

Especially with him being older already. I get he didn’t end his career on his terms but damn he accomplished everything there is to accomplish. I know it’s his decision and I respect that but it’s hard not to feel worried. Even more so with what happened to Paige

I am way too excited for this show. Jeff King is making his debut team with Shlak. He's a big part of a local deathmatch promotion in Michigan and can kick some ass.

 

sounds about right. AEW did not counter program well. a tag with Omega/Hangman for a second week isnt gonna pull away from a title match. was also dumb to have Jericho/Jungle Boy float in the middle, that was the draw imo

This would literally be a clusterfuck on par with whatever that insane Mexican show where Vampiro kept yelling for them to play his music and had like, 3086420864 botches spread across the rest of the card

 

are we remembering the same Sting? he looked great in that last Rollins match, stenosis and all. of all the old timers, i think Sting had the most respectable late stage career of anyone tbh

Also, in regards to the ratings, the one thing I don't see many people talking about is the fact that while both shows are down from their opening weeks, NXT has primarily remained pretty consistent with their numbers in the same ballpark, aside from a blip here or there. Whereas AEW has been on much more of a downward trend all things considered

 

isnt that HHH about to get out of the hold? also that's still not a botch, there are plenty of weak sharpshooters out there

regardless, we are gonna get a Taker match or an old legend match no matter what. why not use it to give one of the only respectable "legends" their literal bucket list moment. the only better alternative is a younger person going over Taker, which has maybe a 5 percent chance of happening.

 

Sting couldn't even squat down for 80% of the sharpshooters he did in WWE. Neither Sting, nor Taker, should be wrestling anymore, especially not against each other. I don't care that WWE will trot them out whether they should or not, having Sting vs Taker remain as the greatest What-If in professional wrestling is way more valuable to both guys and WWE then whatever terrible slog of a match they two would put on together at this stage of their careers.

 

50% of the guys have disagreed with this every chance they get, so maybe not

 

in reality i agree but that's very idealistic and we are gonna get a shitty Taker match that does nothing for anyone no matter what, so maybe it should at least do something for one of the guys in the ring

 

I’m still a little confused by the way AEW has handled Omega (or maybe how he’s wanting his own character handled) but he was by FAR the biggest non-WWE star just a year ago and had the biggest hype train in all of wrestling. I don’t always get the AEW booking/matches
