Haha. I'm going to mention it to my group. We've done huge baseball gloves and bats and stuff.

 

When it's done, this will probably be the most entertaining of any professional sports venue.

 

As sad as I as a big baseball fan think it is that they need all this extra stuff to attract fans I don't fault them. I also think it's good how they are trying to turn these ballparks into neighborhoods to revitalize the area.

 

Yeah, I was reading somewhere that they're building hotels and places to eat right outside so you can either stay at a hotel or park your car and just walk everywhere. I hope that will cut down on traffic maybe. The worst part of the games are leaving before the game is over to try and beat some of the traffic.

 

Of course they are trying to draw more fans in, and I love it. I'll be spending all day at the park now. The game day atmosphere's around that park are going to be insane, so long as the team is winning. Families will have a legitimate reason now to come to the park and just make a day-trip out of it.

 

It took almost 20 years but the Durham Bulls and Durham were able to do that with their ball park. It used to be be supper shitty area and I remember hating to walk to the stadium since we parked so far away to not pay for parking. Now it's actually a really nice area and have been there to try some nice restaurants.

 

I get that. I'm just saying the attraction to bring families should be baseball. But in this day unfortunately that's not enough to entertain families. Hopefully my future kids won't want to zip line during a game.

 

There is a also residential space, a theatre, restaurants, retail space, comcast 9-story building, multiple hotels...all in that mile-long strip as you enter the stadium. It's going to be insane.

 

Maybe they'll finally sell out a baseball game in the playoffs.
