I’d say this episode payed off a lot of earlier threads. We got the team up. IG alive. Greef issue resolved. Baby Yodas attempt to heal the Mando in Ep 2 which is probably the quality that the Empire wants him for? Force Healing is now a thing and I’m down.

Love finally getting back to the empire narrative. Got Herzog back deliciously talking about the Empire/Purge/state of the galaxy.

Great action. Great direction from Chow once again. Loved seeing all the troopers. Gotta think the other Mandalorians help out again?

Idk. but I loved it.

RIP Kuill. Only a handful of scenes but such a great character. loved how that sequence was shot and directed and it was truly heart breaking.

My prediction was baby Yoda was stolen last episode and the team up and mission to get him back was the cliffhanger. Not sure about that anymore but we still have one loose thread and that’s the unidentified character on Tattooine. I think this episode eliminated Greef and Gideon so I’m assuming a new character will show up at the end of the finale as the cliffhanger. Possibly Boba. Possibly another Mandalorian like Bo Katan since she’s still presumably the leader of the refugee Mandos.

Gahhh idk!!! So much to process in this episode.

 

Boba Fett is going to be in the last scene of the series, I really believe it. Can't wait for next Friday!

This was definitely a payoff episode. I love seeing a crew come together. The way Giddeon shows up here makes me think the character we saw at the end of Chapter 5 was Boba after all.

 

I’m hopeful Cara and IG-11 become part of his crew after this.

 

Yea like consistently. IG-11s change is an interesting twist considering Mandos hatred for droids. I loved Kuills speech about they are who they are programmed to be. I think IG and him would have such a unique contentious dynamic going forward

Kind of reminds me of Kanaan and Rex from Rebels

 

I really love how this and Resistance are giving context to the state of the galaxy, very much in disorder.

 

This has been so good. Can’t wait for more.

 

No matter what Star Wars looks like after this week, this show gives me so much hope for the future

 

This is the type of episode I've been waiting for from this show. Finally some forward momentum.

Too bad Werner's out already.

This also felt like the first episode where at no moment did I feel iffy about the score. Great all the way through.

 

HOLY SHIT THERES A NEW EPISODE TODAY?!?!?

 

Based on the trailers, I think Werner might be around for just a little longer to give a few more scenery-chewing lines.

Also, Greef's "he's trying to eat me!" when Baby Yoda was healing him was possibly the hardest I laughed in this show.

 

I'm also revising my theory that Mando will return Baby Yoda to his home planet and next season will have an entirely different plotline after this episode. I think he'll be with us for some time to come based on new developments in this episode (force choking & healing, plus Giddeon's speech about him).

 

Loved Kuill telling Mando that IG-11 is a product of his programmer, followed soon by Baby Yoda force choking Cara, when he is a product of Mando’s programming.

That new folding TIE Moff Gideon arrived on was awesome too!

 

I will no longer offer anyone a drink any other way than by saying “may i offer you a libation to celebrate the closing of our shared narrative”

 

Loved this episode so much. Rip to kuill a real one if there ever was one.
