Seems like a good time to remind everyone that M4A is not the only way to guarantee universal health coverage for everyone, and that most of the health care systems around the world that we regard as better than ours are very much not M4A. Also worth mentioning that most of the other candidates health care plans would also get us to universal health coverage, with the exception of Biden's, who would only need to add mandatory enrollment to make it happen (as of right now, his plan does not include an auto enrollment into the public option)

Ah yes, pointing out simple truths about health care policy = "being a lib".

  9. if i can get a $5000 medical bill while 'covered' then 'coverage' is not sufficient to be ending unnecessary deaths

I guess you only have a limited amount of time to campaign so you have to pick your spots/stops, but I do tend to wonder why candidates don't make more stops in some of the possible blue oasis's in the red deserts of states. Shit I'd even do a quick 5 stop tour through Montana from Billings to Bozeman/Butte, Helena, and Missoula, maybe make a major environmental speech from somewhere around Glacier NP. I know national Dems don't do as well there as state level Dems do but fuck it, take a 2 day bender through the state on your way to Colorado or some shit.

But yeah I'd like to see whoever the candidate is hit some of these small cities that are surrounded by red, try and drive up enthusiasm somewhere besides the major metro centers.

    1. A $5000 medical bill is a hell of a lot better (and manageable with a payment plan) than a $100,000 medical bill. Those OOP maximum rules literally save lives and financial well beings.
    2. A health care system modeled around most of the other systems around the world, which something like a public option would be closer to than M4A, wouldn't allow for $5000 medical bills anyway, so your point makes no sense.

Man, if Bernie can crack the Biden "electability" argument, he could benefit both himself, Warren, and other candidates in Biden's lane that are 'better' than Biden is.

Abrams would be the smart choice for VP; let Warren take another position of power in his cabinet.

Yeah I know I sound like a broken record but, keep Warren in the Senate in powerful committee spots or make her secretary of something important to Bernie’s cause. HHS, interior, Energy, OMB, etc...I know those aren’t the “big” cabinet posts but she’d probably be really good at using those offices to further major progressive causes
