Friday at 8pm. For some reason, I'm going to watch two terrible college basketball teams play each other on Thursday night.

If they do tie in The Mandalorian with The Rise of Skywalker I think this is how they would do it:

What they were extracting from the Child was midichlorians to bring back Palpatine.
I thought of this while at work two nights ago. It may not be accurate at all.

yep I saw all the re-releases in theaters but was familiar with them all well beforehand from watching them with my dad at home.

personally, i think that theory is already in play/has been discussed already as why they wanted the child. Maybe not necessarily to bring to palpatine but, something along those lines.

i am big mad at my local theater for only offering like 6:15pm showings and 9:50pm showings on Thursday.

Good to know! I haven’t been reading anything that’s spoiler worthy and stopped watching promos after the final trailer was released.

So I haven’t been in this thread a lot because of the leak discussions but since today’s the premiere I won’t be back until I see the movie.

I’m incredibly proud of myself. I know way less about this movie going in than i did with TLJ. All I’ve seen in the promotion of TROS is the Celebration teaser and a couple images of 3PO with red eyes, the shots of the Resistance ships, the Star Destroyers, the Death Star interior and Rey with the red saber. Other than that I know about the Ghost making a cameo, space horses supposedly running on a destroyer, “they fly now” and rumors of Ewoks.
That’s literally all I know, seen, or heard about this movie. Ive been a master at dodging all the the official trailers or tv spots. I don’t know any lines of dialogue, locations, or anything else.

I’m not going to read any reviews from the premiere or press screenings before I see it on Thursday. I want no expectations or preconceived opinions that influence my own.

I’m going in almost completely blind into my most anticipated movie of all time and this last chapter. No expectations. I have no real hopes other than a fun but thematically meaningful end to this saga. I’m open to whatever story they want to tell.

To get personal I’m going through some awful health shit that’s kind of fucked up my life. I’m in perpetual discomfort and it’s hard for me to eat sleep and breath right now and have bad panic attacks when bad so with how excited i am for this stupid movie and undoubtedly how crazy my nervous system is going to be come Thursday I’m just hoping I can make it through the movie and be comfortable enough that I can actually enjoy it.

So wish me luck! May the Force be with all
of you until release day. I loved this thread/community and It’s been a fucking blast talking SW with all of you and getting ready for the end of a fucking era. I feel like we probably set an unofficial record of number of posts BEFORE the movies even released. I’m grateful for all y’all and can’t wait to talk about it more come Thursday night. I really hope everybody loves it and is satisfied with how it wraps up.

    9:30pm EST.

Eating some Pittsburgh style sandwiches beforehand (not Primantis, but a local place like Primantis). And, it’s my second to last day of work before a decently long break for the holidays, & it’s my one job’s Christmas party w/ the kids in our program. Gonna be a dang good day.

I'm such an idiot - forgot I requested off of work Friday for unrelated reasons a few weeks ago. I can see this during the day Friday! lmao

Seeing it midnight Wednesday, which in Australia is in about 40 hours. I had my math wrong a few posts ago, but yes.

In exactly 40 hours the trailers before the movie will be wrapping, and the Lucasfilm logo will probably be popping up on the screen for me.

After 'Rise of Skywalker' and Baby Yoda, Kathleen Kennedy's plan for 'Star Wars' and beyond

    Interesting tidbits in the article:
    - Very briefly mentions Feige & Johnson developing new movies
    - Sounds like news on future movies might arrive by the end of January
    - New films might move away from the trilogy structure
    - Sequel trilogy characters are a possibility in future projects
    - Kennedy had Filoni shadow JJ and Rian to help him transition to live action
    - Projects for Lucasfilm outside of Star Wars are in the works: Indy 5 (known for a while) & a Willow TV series And it talks about the possibility of newer properties, calling out a possible film version of Children of Blood and Bone (I've never read the book).

I definitely would love to see Lucasfilm produce stuff that isn't just Star Wars and Indy movies. There's no reason an entire studio needs to be limited to one franchise.
