They don't vote.

I'm all in on the bias argument but otherwise, until young people start to vote in meaningful numbers, the political parties and the candidates and the media and pollsters are gonna continue to ignore them. Why worry about a constituency that votes at the lowest rate?

When I was on our road trip, I would say the immigrants visiting were the most disrespectful to the wildlife and such though.
(they were almost predominantly white european immigrants)

I'm teaching my civic participation unit now and am gonna play a movie for the classes last days before winter break. What's a good movie that centers around civic participation, specifically things like protests and such? I'm leaning towards Selma, but wasn't sure what else was out there. I know Lee Daniels The Butler has a good scene centered around the lunch counter protests but that's just one scene and I show it during one of my lessons.
