Episode 6 of High School Musical was great yet again.

Also watched Free Solo and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a fascinating and odd guy. Didn't feel like the edited Disney+ version was lessened by it being edited

Laying on my couch sick today so I did. its very Michael Bay. impressive if yet disjointed action pieces and pretty thin plot. Perfectly fine to watch once for Ryan Reynolds then move on.

Damn, Marriage Story fucked me up.

If Joaquin doesn't get it, give Adam Driver the Oscar.

Or Willem Dafoe or Robert De Niro (though I think Joe Pesci was the real star of The Irishman)! FYI I haven’t seen Marriage Story yet (and I’m not keen on it tbh- white ppl divorce films arent my thing)

Always do the right thing. Supporter

Driver is brilliant in Marriage Story and Joker is doodoo. DeNiro is great and I think Dafoe is supporting technically. I feel like Brad Pitt should be lead but he’s not being campaigned as one. Plus there were a ton of great performances this year not sniffing any awards talk but for those in actual consideration Driver is my favorite performance of the bunch

I think Pesci is gonna walk away with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, but I honestly dont even think DeNiro will get nominated.

It’s so harrowing but so completely well done. And so much more humane than most other shows when they tackle that kind of story.

The third. You really do! I love the third as much as the first. I know I’ve said I’m not planning on doing any official best of the decade lists, but Broadchurch would certainly be in the running for my top 10 shows.

We watched S1 before the American remake came out and had S2 recorded but never actually got caught up. Maybe I'll try to this week!

Woo!! I should warn you that there is one major aspect of S2 that was really poorly done and drags down the season, but there’s still a ton of great character work in that one and S3 is entirely worth getting to. I’m very curious to hear your thoughts!

It’s a shame the remake was SO bad. They just missed the boat in every way.

Honestly I didn't think Gracepoint was awful, but Broadchurch was definitely better for sure.

I'm deciding between that, Unbelievable, and the Criminal mini series things on Netflix. Which would you recommend most?

You must fix your heart Supporter

I really liked the first two seasons of Broadchurch but I remember not liking 3 much at all. Can't really remember it now though.

I hated it, lol. So much of the acting was a huge step down and the writing was way too watered down. The animosity between Tennant and Anna Gunn didn’t work for me either. Nick Nolte as the salty sea dog was about the only part I enjoyed on its own merit.

Broadchurch is easily my favorite of those options, but it’s also the biggest time commitment if you plan on both seasons.

Criminal ranged from not good (France) to super impressive (Germany), but I recommend the whole thing because it is such an interesting experiment. Each country is a pretty easy binge and can be separated if you don’t want to do them all soon.

Unbelievable is worth it for the story being told and the acting, but it had some big tonal issues that kept it from being as high on my list as I was hoping. Still worth a watch but it wouldn’t be my first priority.

I'll do it in this order then, thanks! I'll probably rewatch S1 just to remind myself of the characters and whatnot. Will let you know when I finish Broadchurch!

when I asked for Hulu suggestions, why did no one mention King of the Hill?

Didn't realize it was on here until now, but that's all I'm watching now
