@Philll was Corbyn always at 40% favorability or was he much more favored two years ago?

Honestly don't know the answer to that, but I don't recall him ever having impressive favorability numbers.

 

I'm curious if only to see if the endless smearing the past two years dropped the % at all.

 

Oh I've no doubt.

 

I saw someone point out that sanders has 47% in comparison so it definitely made me wonder.

Apparently during the 2017 election Corbyn was at 46%, in a few months he somehow dropped to 38%. I can't find one for 2018, for some reason.

 

After a small bit of digging around, looks like the last time he had a positive net approval rating was at the end of 2017, it has been negative since then, and worsening.

As of 2017 they hadn't pushed brexit back yet, labour hadn't had to vote on anything about it really yet, and the antisemitism was one thing among the IRA sympathizer, Soviet spy stuff. Once they really latched onto the antisemitism and discovered the phrase "institutional" and brought in the EUCHR, plus Brexit developments, I think that's what killed his favs
