The new single sounds mostly like Lies for the Liars to me.

 

Man if they really focus on the melody and songwriting/making an eclectic mix like with LFTL then I am really really stoked. Lies for the Liars was a really important album for me, love it so much.

 

lftl will endlessly confuse me based on how good all of the songs cut from it are, yet the album proper is such a tonally inconsistent mess. ive warmed up to it a lot overtime but its still got some really questionable choices on it especially considering all 8 songs they cut are better than most everything on the album

not a fan of the new song at all verses are a disaster and the chorus is the same "trying too hard to be poppy without actually being a decent melody) that vulnerable/imaginary enemy suffered from. really dreading the new one now

 

yeah i remember seeing that somewhere but i havent been able to dug up the interview

 

I saw them play to less than 100 people once. Jealous? hahaha jk. But really, it was awesome.

Self-titled is still a perfect album. I love ILAD and even that's not close to it tbh

Totally agree! Listening to it yet again just last night. Really helps with my workouts, especially when I don't wanna do em. :)

 

I forgot what an abomination "Now That You're Dead" is ugh

 

Song to Stifle Imperial Progression was great though.

It's got such a nice funky beat!

 

Listening to Blow Me for the first time atm. It's not bad! But It's a shame that The Canyon was so hated. To me it was their first good album since Lies For the Liars. The production could've been better though.

Edit: Scratch that! I'm listening to The Canyon again for the first time in a year and I don't mind the production at all. Love this album.

 

The Canyon is great and so is Blow Me idgaf.

Their set list this tour looks really awesome so far, some nice deep cuts in there.
