I should have known we just couldn't have nice things at my second job and my manager was somehow going to twist this and we'd get in trouble wrt the nazi.

I got a text from him last night saying, "Can I ask you a question? Did somebody play born for this while the customer was leaving?" And while it wasn't my idea, I was like "yes I did but it was after he had made the initial comments [about one of our queer employees] not as he was leaving" because I don't want anybody else to get in trouble when I know I am out in a couple of weeks anyway.

I hear nothing back but get a text from Hannah saying that employees are now banned from using the aux and only managers can put music on. WHAT. THE. FUCK!! So because a nazi came into the store, made homophobic comments at one of our employees, and we retaliated in the tiniest way we possibly could, we are now banned from putting music on at the store? That was one of the best parts of working there, everybody took turns adding music and we all have great taste (except for sm and asm tbh) so I have learned so much about music in my time there. And now he is taking this as an opportunity to ruin everybody's fun, all because we stood up for our friend and retaliated against a fucking nazi in the only way we really could in the moment.

Not to mention I guarantee you it was the asm that narced on us and said in the first place that we played born for this. I am honestly stunned that the reaction here isn't good job everybody thanks for sticking up for each other!! And I'm not entirely sure I won't get in trouble for this when I go in there next time. I am fucking LIVID.

And Hannah is heart broken because on top of our asm treating her like crap because of his fragile male ego, they just made the environment even worse and it's a huge bummer for everybody. This was supposed to be the place she went to feel safe and get away from all the crap in her life and they're fucking ruining it.

 

That's bullshit. I'm sorry your manager is such an asshole.
