Thinking either crabs cakes or scotch beef as the entree (which is basically an upscale pot roast).

As far as the first few courses, I'm thinking of a beef tartare -> mini ct. style lobster rolls, or perhaps subbing a french onion soup crostini for one of the options or even just french onion soup... maybe clam chowder. If you have any ideas, I'll take them. I was going to do a coastal new England theme and have it be all seafood but one of the people attending might not having anything to eat then. If I did that it was going to be new england clam chowder -> lobster roll -> crab cakes.

Thinking of making individual galettes with gelato for desert. Maybe a cheesecake.

That sounds awesome. I’ll do some thinking and see if any ideas jump out at me. The seafood heavy version would be perfect for most of my family, but I’d have to do similar substitutions for a few people as well.

I’ve done boeuf bourguignon as our Christmas meal for the past four or five years, so the idea of a hearty beef dish really speaks to me for this.
