Would be extremely surprised if it were anything short of a tour

 

Spin are reporting it as a reunion and the date is either for a new song or an LP... Probably just guesswork right?

Was just listening to them yesterday and feeling all bummed that I never got to see them. Reealllly hope they're going on tour. New music would be amazing, but I'm not expecting it.

 

The wording of that is weird. Think they're just saying that it remains to be seen if new music will have a part to play in the reunion/on 9/23.

 

This is really irresponsible. They don't know any more than we do.... what bad journalism.

Yeah that's quite a leap to assume it's a reunion unless they know something we don't

 

Read it again and I'm almost positive they're not saying it's a one or the other situation like some are reading it as. Substitute "album or song" for "new music" and I think that's what they're going for.

The fact that it's tied to the Black Parade release date makes me think whatever anniversary thing they do will be short-lived... if they were really coming back permanently I feel like they wouldn't just focus on the anniversary of an old album. Come back, do a few anniversary shows/re-pressings/maybe tour, then split again is my bet.

 

Yeah I can't see them coming back for good which is sad.

 

Well if this is a reunion of some sorts, that opens the door for a lot of things in the future.

To be fair they weren't really doing anything for the last year or two other than putting out those Conventional Weapons songs. They were mostly writing. Plus we never got a final tour or anything.
