I can agree with that to an extent, still like a handful of songs from that record though

i'm listening to their covers album right now. their cover of crazy is very bad hahaha. overall a fun listen though.

 

I love their cover of Africa

 

Five Score is definitely an improvement to me. They play with a lot more sounds than they did on Mmhmm and move away from the more standard pop punk stuff. Plus I think it's more consistent and has the best song they've ever written.

 

Their cover of Motorcycle Drive By is one of the best things they've done.

 

My vinyl skips around a good bit, but I don't know anyone who hasn't had problems with the pressing. I know SMLXL will make it right.

 

Are you referring to "Deathbed?" I think "Savannah" is the best song they've ever written.

 

Yeah, "Savannah" is great but I think "Deathbed"'s better. I'd put "I Don't Need a Soul" over it too and maybe "When I Go Down". I'd probably add "Empty House" to that list now.

 

Oasis - Savannah - Baby as one song is the best song they've ever written, in my opinion. Deathbed is also up there, but the lyrics are a little too much for me sometimes. I'm not so much into their story songs as their more personal lyrics.

 

Ummm "Crayons . . ." is the best song they've ever written. And it's not even close.

Anyway, I'm late to The Bird and the Bee Sides discussion, but if I were to fit that in my personal ranking I think it'd go at #6 between Two Lefts... and Anatomy. It's good, but nowhere near RK's best. I basically think of it as a precursor to the greatness that is Forget and Not Slow Down.
