That shit really already starts in East Germany and then keeps going. Which is not to say there aren’t great people fighting that shit in all those places. Also of course Western and Southern Europe also have significant racism problems. But yeah I recently recommended to my travel-happy Vietnamese friends from college to maybe focus their traveling west of Berlin.

 

Didn’t peg it down to that but she’s very, very Catholic and said some unsavoury things that made me wince. Would never have guessed it...guess those bellends are everywhere

Yet literally all the Romanias I personally know are fun and sweet

 

You say that and I’m scared of my gf ever coming to the UK because of the racism. Vietnamese Canadian and I just know the fucking bellends here would say something at some point. Even in Asia she gets discriminated against and it makes my blood boil

 

The only Romanian I know is a Christian extremist who hates trans and gay people

 

I mean yeah, shit like that can happen anywhere, but the shit that’s been happening in that regard in much of Eastern Europe (including Eastern Germany) the last few years is on another level sadly. It sucks. I’m sorry she has to go through that.
