Guess I missed it. I was looking for it last night.

Is the movie worth watching? I probably need to see it to keep up, but I've only read really bad things about it.

As a movie, it's not so good. But when you think of it as four individual episodes (which I believe it was originally planned as) it's not as bad. I'd watch it just for the introduction of Ahsoka.

It should've never been released theatrically, it definitely doesn't flow as a film but it's essentially 2 pretty good episodes.

I guess so. The Cristophis stuff is good and it’s the beginning of Ashoka. To see where she started to where she goes is great.

  6. The republic had infinite warships during the clone wars because at least five per episode blow up

While it started off slow and found it unfocused and meandering too much I’m currently loving and blown away by Resistance Reborn. The amount of canon being tied in I didn’t know made me feel kind of left out at first but the canon it did tie in specifically from Bloodline is immensely awarding. Kind of can’t believe it and tearing up because i never thought this would happen. Just wow. This book is a must read for Bloodline lovers.

I was hooked at about 3/5 through once everybody’s together and I’m half way through and absolutely loving it now. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

Also my favorite thing so far is the focus on Poe’s mistake. It didn’t have time to in the last Jedi to give attention to the consequence of what Poe did but this book is so much about his guilt and people’s perceptions of the mistake. Even Poe realizing he’s responsible for Paige’s death. I’m loving it

Finally caught up on Resistance after being three episodes behind. Really enjoyed the Relic Raiders and Rendevous Point episodes. The Hut casino one was forgettable. Between Relic Raiders, the Force Collector novel (haven't read, just going off the synopsis) and the TROS trailers, I feel like force artifacts are going to play an important role in Episode XI.

Trying out Clone Wars in Chronological order. Why is this a thing?

  10. No idea. You technically don't have to. But it would be weird to have watched the animated movie, and then get to season 3 and have an episode of something that was already resolved.

Go into it with an open mind. It takes a bit to get going. But there are some incredible arcs, you get a lot of great Anakin stuff that you don't get in the movies, Ahsoka is introduced obviously, etc.

  11. Though there is some filler for sure. I hate the two or three episodes centered on the droids and that one mission.

oh no, i've seen Clone Wars before. I enjoyed it. I'm just curious why there is a chronological order. I watched it the first time on netflix and just did season 1 2 3 etc

True but even the end of that arc is great with Gregor

Why are the episodes so out of order in the first place? They were created that way right?

They were. And when you watch in chronological order, it’s baffling how weird the original release order is.

They were created out of order because Filoni’s original idea for the series was to be more of an old school, serial-type show where people could just tune in and out for random episodes, and not feel like they’ve missed anything. The episodes were also supposed to hop around with a whole bunch of POV characters and not have a real set of main characters. As the show went on, the creators eventually dropped these ideas, and the show developed into more of a traditional long form series. This is why the later seasons follow in chronological order and don’t jump around at all.

I was under the impression that it was a George's idea to jump around, though I can't find a source one way or the other. Either way, kinda a bad call imo. I've watched through both ways and enjoy chronological way more.

You’re probably right. I don’t remember who came up with all the ideas, I just remember what the original idea for the show was, and how it turned out.

I’m not a fan of the episodes airing out of order, but I’m less of a fan of expending the effort to try and watch them in order. Disney+ makes it even harder to jump around in the show. Their interface doesn’t work well for TV series imo.

I wish D+ would just have an option for chronological order

How come Vader didn’t recognize R2 when he was trying to shoot Luke in the trench

Welcome to the light, my friend! Have you watched Rebels? Ahsoka is the best Star Wars character period and I'll always love Clone Wars for giving her to us but I may even like Rebels more.

I watched the first episode but felt I should power through some more clone wars first. It was pretty good!
