I think their second and third albums were legitimately great pop rock. its about the only catchy and fun call and response vocal melodies I can think of for the genre.

 

Not that my opinion means anything, but imo there's a difference between an age Gap, and an age Gap when one is barely an adult and the other is. 19 sounds very young because it is very young. If you were both forced to grow up fast because of circumstances that aren't my business and you just got out of a relationship that sounds very difficult... Just be careful. A trauma bond is a real thing and it can be amazing when you find someone who gets you and your trauma and understands, but it can also be a lot and become unhealthy. I'm not here to be an armchair psychologist, I'd just be careful and take things slow and idk.
