AFAIK, the dude who runs Profound Lore isn't a white supremacist by any stretch of the imagination, but they've had no problems dealing with some bands with sketchy affiliations in the past. Namely Disma (whose old vocalist had a Nazi-themed side project) and Cobalt (whose old vocalist went on a crazy homophobic rant and was fired immediately). If anything, they've gotten a lot better about associating with better acts over the last few years.

 

Is it ok to still listen to agoraphobic nosebleed? I'm not good with keeping up with these kind of things.

I preordered the new Jasta album since it came signed was like $15 and included a "Morrisound > Morrisey" shirt. Album doesn't drop til 12/13 but it came in the mail on Saturday. It's pretty solid. There's a Holy Wars cover.

 

Northwest Terror Fest is going to start announcing bands daily. The lineup so far is:

So I know you guys have helped me with getting into death metal before. I absolutely love the new blood incantation album and the most recent horrendous. What else should I check out along those lines?

Old school recs are Demilich and Timeghoul, although the latter only has demos. The Nocturnus AD album from this year is super sci-fi, as is their debut from like 1990.

You might like the proggier stuff by Death as well

I don't know how much they fit in with the style you're looking for, but "Death" is always my go to suggestion.

saw Abigail Williams last night and they slayed. if you haven't heard their new record, give it a shot. it's not at all what I was expecting out of them after not really listening to them for a decade or so, but it's easily their best work yet.
