To be fair, I found him to be insufferable from the start so I guess I’m biased.. but he’s done some pretty shitty things.

The dude stormed into a private WGA (writers guild association) meeting advocating for much lower pay, well below a minimum living wage in LA, for all late night show writers. Including his own team.

There’s a bunch more out there about him being an ass if ya wanna look.. but let’s not corrupt this perfect thread.

 

yeah it sucks that Corden and Armisen are shitty people but I agree let's talk about Kacey

 

He also isn't actually funny, but that's a lesser offense

 

He is offensively unfunny. Talentless, even.

Unfortunately I thought the special sucked haha. The music was obviously great, but Kacey has the acting skills of a tree and the humor didn't really land. Oh well!

 

I thought it was cute! Was nice to have on in the background while cleaning up the kitchen from Thanksgiving and untangling the holiday lights

 

Understandable but I think that was kind of the point, right? It was like a call back to variety shows from the 70s or something.

 

No I totally get the aim of what they were doing, I just don't think it landed.

 

This is amazing I can’t believe there are any other arguments otherwise. I haven’t felt the Christmas spirit this much since I was 8

 

Who do I need to write to to get a Kacey and Lana collab album

 

I admire the fact that Kacey somehow managed to make dozens of costume changes in a 45 minute special, she always wears the best outfits

I def need to listen to her Christmas album from a few years ago because Christmas Makes Me Cry and Ribbons And Bows are great

 

Honestly if I was famous I’d 100% do a similar special with my famous friends and family.

 

I'm curious why Ruston wasn't a part of this. Probably just scheduling I assume but seems a little strange.

 

Not sure I would enjoy this without Dan Levy, but it's mostly fun.

 

Levy actually made me enjoy this a lot less. Didn’t like when he was on-screen.
