Oh wow this came out today!?

 

I saw it Friday

 

man i lost my mind at the "sweet virginia" cue

 

This was so good

 

This is how far I am from being a movie buff like @CarpetElf :

When he told me “Knives Out is good” I legit thought he meant the Radiohead song

 

Which, that song rules. But I know nothing about this movie lol

 

I liked this a good amount, my sister was the expert sleuth and was able to figure out most of it halfway through but it was fun solving the mystery with her lol

 

God damn I fucking loved this movie. It just kept surprising me in delightful ways. The whole cast was pretty fantastic but especially Ana. The final shot was perfect.

This was great. I figured out some clues pretty easily but definitely not the whole thing. Johnson did a fantastic job with tangling and untangling all the different threads. Seeing it in a pretty packed theater made it even more fun -- the guy next to me had the most infectious laugh.

I think I laughed the hardest at the will reading. Michael Shannon shouting "I will not eat one iota of shit!" had me rolling.

Chris Evans in that sweater was everything.

 

Yeah I mean Chris Evans honestly might be one of the most beautiful people alive

 

Evans as Cap is hot, but Evans in this was HOT hot ya know?

 

This was fantastic, everyone crushed and whole thing was beautiful. Only personal complaint is that Ransom being the true murderer was like... way too obvious? I spent the majority of movie thinking that he had to be innocent because the film was so clearly painting him as the red herring, lol. Even still, watching the details play out of how it all went down was super fun. And that’s the point I guess.

Honestly this was even worth watching for the first act alone — the interrogation mashup was incredible, giving everyone a chance to shine like that right of the bat was just pure unadulterated entertainment

 

I liked that the biggest twist of all was every character was consistent. There was no random heel turn by Marta or Ransom turned out to be a good guy. They were exactly as they seemed. It would have been an absolute shame for Marta to be anything but a pure of heart person.

 

Yeah that was one of my favourite things about it.

 

The wife and I absolutely loved this. Continuous entertainment and I never once got bored with the story or any of the characters. Just a delight. Can’t wait to watch this again.

Marta being from Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, and Brazil was funny.

 

Even more excited now since I am rarely in disagreement with Kermode.

 

“Morning Bell” was also a working title of this movie if IMDB is to be believed.

 

This is hugely overperforming!!!

 

Knives Out? More like Wallets Out...to buy tickets for this very good movie!!!!!!

 

Good! It deserves it.
