I realize it's American Thanksgiving, but this has been happening all season. 13 games on one day, then two games the next day. Fire the scheduler

Okay, so my league has really stupid rules where players get more points taken away from penalties and hits. You get six points for a goal & one point for every shot on goal. He got 11 points from those alone. However, you get TWO points taken away for every penalty minute (he had 12, so -24) and he lost another point from having a hit. This has been happening to me a lot because I didn't read the rules and had no idea penalties killed you this much.

 

I dont even remember there ever being games on THanksgiving

 

I get losing points for penalty minutes, but losing points for hits sounds ridiculous.

 

It's so stupid because you can't control it. I have gotten screwed by this a few times because if a player has one off night it sinks your entire week. I've also had to scour the waiver wire a bunch because Crosby & Tarasenko are hurt & the middle six guys are total crapshoots with these rules. You also get a five point bonus for power play points and I feel like my opponent strikes gold with that every week.
