Not much. He was good in the WC during the summer. Has been good this season despite being stuck with actual shit. There’s a coach-player dynamic to this that no one really knows I think. He’s been better than half of the forward group this season and is being dangled out there as the scapegoat. I hate it. They’ll probably have to cover a portion of the $6aav at this point. Maybe a depth defenseman to help the third pair? It’s crazy hard to gauge his actual value right now.

Kerfoot suspended 2 games

 

This league is such a joke. Bortuzzo, a repeat offender who essentially assaulted someone into a month-long injury, gets four games.

Kerfoot, who had no prior disciplinary history with the league, gets two games for boarding on Erik Johnson (who left the game briefly but is healthy).

Edit: I'm not defending Kerfoot's boneheaded play by any means, but how does the NHL justify the resulting discipline for both plays? They'll never get anything right with suspensions
