Hanks in ABDITN is a true supporting role too. You could argue Pitt as being the co-lead in this.

 

Best Supporting Actor race is Hanks,Pitt, Peschi IMO order to be determined

 

Bale would be in the conversation if Fox/Disney had any sense to not run them both as leads

 

Pesci and Dafoe are my personal favorites. Pitt was really a lead but whatever

 

I think they’re running Dafoe for lead

Yeah, Pitt is definitely co-lead in this. Dafoe is my pick as of now, but I haven't seen Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood yet so that could change.

 

I had a basically out of body experience seeing Hanks as Mr. Rodgers so it’s my personal top

Pitt was the front runner until Joe Pesci entered the conversation for The Irishman

 

Definitely supporting. All the talks have pegged him for supporting and having seen the movie for myself yesterday, it’s definitely a supporting role

 

Imagining a field with Pitt, Dafoe, Hanks, Pesci, and Pacino all in it jeeeez

 

Hopkins is in the mix too lol. truly insane group.

 

I mean, I really think it’s between Pitt and Pesci, but that’s a killer lineup.

Has to be. I’ve seen every single film that needs to be seen minus Uncut Gems, Bombshell, & Marriage Story and no one else stands out besides them two. And I really think this is Pesci’s to lose. I was all onboard the Pitt train until I saw Irishman (and I saw OUATIH 5 times in theaters)

 

I do think the fact that Pitt hasn’t won an acting Oscar, plus seems like someone way more willing to play the game, gives him a big bump.

 

So I just checked Gold Derby and everyone there has Pacino way higher than Pesci. Wow. I loved him too, but it’s a much broader, loud performance.
