Would’ve been real bad if NXT lost considering they advertised main roster folks showing up

 

NXT threw everything and the kitchen sink to win this week, means nothing, they obviously did all that yesterday purely to win in the ratings.

WWE’s top faces showed up to NXT and it barely beat AEW and still lost the demo

that’s bad

 

Dude's holding ROH hostage to spill more tea

 

It’s still bad - Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins showed up and they barely won - really they lost cuz AEW still controlled the important demos

 

Plus it helps that AEW actually has finishes to matches instead of EVERY MATCH having a run in or DQ

 

Of course, the WWE roster is so deep, they could do most of that every week. The Revival, Ricochet, McIntyre, Cesaro...they're all doing nothing on the main roster and could easily return. Likewise for all the non-Becky women who returned. They didnt even use KO or Sami, which would be their biggest possible NXT returns.

Doubt they'll repeat that kind of show anytime soon, but if they learn from this, we might see more returns to boost ratings going forward.

 

That should worry NXT fans if WWE is just gonna send main roster people down and stop showcasing new talents

revival cesaro ricochet and mcintyre aren’t moving the needle for NXT against AEW

Im not sure I can disagree more. The Revival having matches like they did last night would be a big counter to AEW's tag division. And Ricochet was far more impressive in his limited NXT run than he has been on the main roster (he got one of the biggest pops despite only being there a year).

Longer term its a bigger deal too, because its hard for AEW to keep bringing in fresh blood while WWE has a dozen guys at all time doing nothing on the main roster.

See, I'm rooting for guys being wasted on the main roster to come back to life. There's plenty of ways to mix showcasing new talent with some guys returning. I'd kill for a Keith Lee/McIntyre feud, for example.

In the same way AEW is using Mox to boost Darby, etc.

I'd be so happy to get released from ROH, Kelly prob gets snatched up quick i'd imagine.

 

Yeah that's definitely valid, I just feel like that can lead to some really really bad shit though.

 

Im also imagining it ending up more like Breezango than anything. People truly doing nothing on the main roster, but with value in NXT. So, less Ricochet, and maybe more like a Gable when the Shorty G thing dies its eventual death.

 

Undisputed Era vs Revival was so good

 

With two wargames matches, I imagine they might keep it to 4 matches, but adding a Garza vs Rush rematch so its not a complete overload of wargames matches and making Swerve Ciampa's 4th would be a damn near perfect takeover card
