    Some Freak Supporter

I think it has some good songs but the narrative story it tells feels forced and unnatural, like it was tacked on after the loose songs were made. His execution on telling a cohesive story song to song is so much stronger in damn and TPAB, so looking back it just feels like a lower level.

I just mean that GKMC has all the "hits" - I agree about the storytelling aspect of the album as a whole

    YG has two incredible albums

He doesn't get the respect that other rappers do but he deserves it

Call me an old head, but I never felt like I was hearing something I hadn’t heard before when listening to Kendrick, but My Krazy Life felt fresh to me. Also aside from anything else I like to listen to YG rapping way more.

My Krazy Life for me personally is the probably the most important rap album of the decade

By the way, I loved Still Brazy, but unlike MKL it also didn’t feel all that new to me either

Part of my I love Still Brazy so much was that people insisted YG couldn't make a good album without DJ Mustard. But then he showed he's a great rapper on his own

This is true, but I still think they work best together

Then he started making music with DJ Mustard again and Still Brazy was so much better lol

I remember being like damn how is he going to sound good without dj mustard and then I heard twist my fingaz and I was like ketchup is better anyways

    hey you lil piss baby

Loved MKL from the first listen, feels like a fundamental hip hop album for me even if I had already been listening to the genre for over a half-decade. Still Brazy took a long time to click but now I might actually think it's better. The sense of paranoia that pervades that album is genuinely stirring. Wish his later stuff held up with the first two albums.

This loosie is still an all timer.
