@FTank off topic, but I finally got a minute to listen to Turnover's latest release, and the whole time I'm staring at the album art like, "whereeee do I know that picture.."

 

Haha. Hope you liked it! That's one of my favorite records in recent memory.

 

I legitimately wouldn't have even picked up on that if not for FTank's post. I lol'd.

 

I have to give it another listen, but I definitely enjoy it more than Magnolia.

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan of the band before, I was shocked to love PV as much as I do.

 

Dude, same. Even in recent attempts to go back and check out their previous stuff, I still can't get into it. PV is such a staple for me though haha, easily one of my most listened to albums in the last 12 months.

 

I think Magnolia is ok now that I can hear how in some ways they were sorta hinting at the style they adopted on PV, but yeah, I've played the hell out of PV as well. Probably my most played album since last spring, the only thing that could maybe rival it is Future Hearts.

 

In that same vein: I like the original Ocean Dub music better than the Funimation Dub music.

 

Going for most unpopular opinion in the thread with this one.

I like Confide's cover of Such Great Heights more than the original by a substantial margin.

 

Pop Punk's aesthetic is more appealing than music.

 

Julien Baker's music is boring, uneventful, derivative, and tries too hard to be serious.

for real though, i really enjoy her cover of DCFC's "Photobooth"

 

She looks like a kid! Has a nice voice and is probably talented but.....

I would never feel the need to listen to that again, unless I was in charge of doing the soundtrack for Juno 2.
